Can the programming be erased or removed after being installed?

The programme can be removed, restored, by our technicians. However, we also perform an annual update to our software or sooner if we have new developments.

What kind of fuel savings can be expected?

Different vehicles have different percentiles of savings. This purely as a result of their engine capacity as well as injector size. However we are able to save between 10% - 20% on diesel vehicles, and between 5% - 10% on petrol variants.

What else can be done via Programming?

In addition to adjusting the torque and power curve to save fuel, we also adjust the idle speed, RPM limiter and top speed limiter to eliminate abuse of the vehicle.

What exactly is connected to the vehicle's engine?

We do not provide a miracle device to attach to the engine. We programme the standard manufacturer equipment to our calculated specifications in order to achieve the desired results.

Is there a particular driving style meant to be complied with to ensure greater savings?

We programme the vehicle to make more power and torque earlier on in the rpm range. This means you have more usable power low down in the rev. range, which in turn allows you to a depress on your accelerator pedal even less whilst reaching your desired speed. This method will allow far greater savings.

How does ECU programming reduce fuel consumption?

We esnure the client advises us of their driving style and current fuel grade used. We then optimise the vehicles standard settings to make the engine more efficient. We further optimise the engine idle speed. A more efficient engine is always lighter on fuel.

Why didn't the dealer just programme the vehicle in the first place??

Cars are mass produced for the entire world. The manufactures have to take into account various aspects in the programming of the Engine Control Unit (ECU), examples include fuel grade, fuel octane rating, atmospheric pressure, altitude and emissions standards.
